This week, I want to talk to you about how it’s very motivating being around motivating people, as surrounding yourself with people who are constantly striving to better themselves and achieve their goals usually becomes infectious.
Have you ever noticed how being around motivated and driven individuals can inspire you to be the same? It’s very true how the energy and positivity of those around us can often have a significant impact on our own mindset and productivity.
Their passion and determination to do something will ultimately empower you, pushing you to set higher standards for yourself and work towards achieving your own aspirations. By doing things together, you can also support each other in reaching new heights and overcoming any obstacles in your way.
But always remember, it’s your own personal drive that should ignite a fire within you and propel you towards any chance of personal success. Also, never overlook the importance of intrinsic motivation, as relying solely on external influences for motivation can be unsustainable in the long run.
Seeing others succeed can also push us to work harder and strive for our own goals. Let me give you some examples that demonstrate this and the power of how surrounding yourself with driven and ambitious individuals can inspire you to be the best version of yourself.
Imagine that someone you know is a talented creator who is always experimenting with new techniques and creating beautiful pieces of the thing that they make. Watching them push the boundaries of their creativity also motivates you to create something as well.
Or imagine that you have a friend who is always working towards their fitness goals, whether it’s running a marathon, or hitting a new personal record at the gym. Being around them motivates you to lace up your sneakers and join them, pushing yourself to new fitness milestones as well.
Or imagine that you have a coworker who is constantly taking on new projects for themselves and excelling in their role at work. Their drive and work ethic inspire you to step up your game and aim for that promotion that you’ve been eyeing for months.
Finally, it’s crucial to avoid inadvertently creating feelings of comparison and inadequacy in individuals who do not have friends or coworkers who are excelling in their respective fields. Remember, competition and comparison can potentially have negative impacts on mental health and self-esteem, so it’s important to be mindful of this.
So, this week, if you find yourself feeling stuck or lacking motivation, remember the positive influence that people you know can have on your own personal growth and motivation and try surrounding yourself with people who exude passion and drive. Their enthusiasm and dedication can serve as a powerful reminder of what you are capable of achieving!
