This week, I want to continue my theme of last week about surrounding yourself with positive people who bring you up. But this week, I’ll focus and talk to you about how you shouldn’t let negative people bring you down and try to provide some analogies that may help.
As you navigate through life, remember to always choose wisely when it comes to the people that you surround yourself with. Do not let negative people bring you down; instead, let positive people bring you up. Never underestimate the power of positive people in your life.
At many times, it can be very challenging to distance yourself from negative people, especially if they are family members or friends. But remember that surrounding yourself with positive individuals doesn’t make you disloyal; it makes you brave enough to choose your own path.
As I say, never underestimate the power of positive people in life. They remind you of your worth, boost your confidence and propel you forward. But also, never underestimate the power of negative people in life. They complain, criticise, blame and just bring you down! Here are five analogies.
Imagine a boat in the water. Negative people are like holes in the boat, constantly leaking water and affecting its buoyancy. By not allowing negative people to bring you down, you are patching these holes and keeping the boat afloat.
Imagine a balloon floating in the air. Negative people are like weights attached to the balloon, pulling it down towards the ground. But by letting positive people bring you up, they become the wind beneath your wings, lifting you higher and allowing you to soar.
Imagine climbing a mountain. Negative people are heavy backpacks filled with rocks that you have to carry. They weigh you down and make the climb difficult. Instead, let positive people be your backpack filled with supplies and encouragement, lightening the load and making your journey easier.
Imagine a theatre production where negative people are like critics in the audience, constantly criticising and casting doubt on your performance. Instead, let positive people be a supportive audience, applauding and cheering you on, boosting your confidence and pushing you to perform to your best.
Imagine a road trip where negative people are the potholes and roadblocks along the way. They slow you down and make the journey more difficult. However, by surrounding yourself with positive people, they become the smooth road and guideposts, helping you navigate through challenges and reach your destination faster.
So, this week, remember that you choose who influences your life and that your personal growth and happiness should never be compromised. So, actively seek out and surround yourself with positive people who share your values, push you to grow, radiate positivity, inspire you and believe in your potential!
